Hints & Tips

The Care industry needs you!

Care organisations up and down the country are looking for kind, caring and committed volunteers to help make a difference with the care that they deliver.

A little bit of your time can make a big difference

With roles based around your key skills and interests, many Care organisations welcome applications from volunteers.

You can help to stimulate, entertain, teach and just listen to residents.

From reading, to sharing your interests to more specialist tailored activities for dementia care,  you can find the right volunteering opportunity to suit your interests.

Someone like me?

Volunteers have some spare time on their hands – organisations will often be able to plan a role around your available time.

You probably won’t need previous experience or specialist qualifications, but tonnes of enthusiasm will help you to stand out.

You are likely to be friendly and approachable with good people skills. You obviously need to enjoy spending time with the people that you are volunteering to assist.
