The post holder will be part of DFN Project SEARCH programme working in partnership with Host Business Yeovil Hospital, Education provider Yeovil College, to deliver the specific DFN Project SEARCH programme to interns. The post holder will be based in Yeovil Hospital. Interns are young adults who have a learning disability and / or autism. Interns are recruited by all three parties over the summer months, in readiness to start the programme in September. This role works to the academic year so is mainly term time. The DFN Project SEARCH trainer provides individualised support for interns during the internship rotation in order for the interns to acquire competitive and marketable skills. Discovery are currently looking for Support Workers to support 5 gentlemen who live in their own home to live their lives independently, actively and full of adventure! It is very important to the gentleman that the people who will be supporting them are interested in similar things, some of the ways they like to spend their days are, taking walks around National Trust spaces, trips to the pub! Rock music and sports!! As well as popping to the coffee shop or heading through the drive thru!
