Friends of the Elderly is a charity that runs care homes and day care services for older people. Our care homes and day care services are situated in Bedfordshire, Essex, Hampshire, Oxfordshire, Surrey and Worcestershire.

We also run a grants programme that supports older people who are experiencing financial hardship, by providing them with the essentials needed to live with dignity.

Friends of the Elderly has been supporting people for over 100 years. From serving “Penny Dinners” to WWI veterans, to championing innovations in dementia care, supporting older people is at the very heart of what we do.

We live by our values and will always promote wellbeing, strive for excellence, treat people with respect and keep everyone safe. We believe that a career in care is a worthwhile vocation, and we support our staff to deliver the highest quality services and prepare for their futures through training, supervision and opportunities to gain qualifications and experience.
