No day is the same – that’s for sure. Some days, you can take residents out to do things they’ve always wanted to do, but have never been able to because of their disability. Every day can be completely different, and it depends entirely on what the service users want to do. It can be anything from activities to absolutely nothing!
Of course, it starts with getting the residents up, and checking on the ones who live at home. You learn something new every day, and working in Care really helps you with personal development.
I love how much you get back from doing the job. You really get satisfaction when you help a service user to do something they’ve always wanted to do. Talking to some of the individuals helps you to really build a connection with them, which makes it even better.
