About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Manager to lead a new residential children’s home in Bradford. This is a unique opportunity to join from the early stages, helping to shape the culture, values, and standards of the service as it becomes fully operational and Ofsted-registered.

The home will provide a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment for children and young people with emotional and behavioural needs. You will be responsible for the full management of the home, ensuring it operates to the highest possible standards and in full compliance with all relevant legislation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Ofsted registration process and ensure ongoing compliance with Children’s Homes Regulations and Quality Standards

  • Provide strong, consistent leadership to the care team, setting clear expectations and ensuring a child-centred approach to care

  • Oversee all aspects of the home’s operations, including safeguarding, staffing, care planning, and budgeting

  • Promote a positive, therapeutic environment that supports children in achieving positive outcomes

  • Build and maintain effective relationships with local authorities, external agencies, and families

  • Recruit, develop and supervise staff, ensuring high standards of training and performance

  • Lead inspections, audits and quality assurance measures to continuously improve care delivery

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager within a children’s residential setting

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent) – essential

  • A sound understanding of the Children’s Homes Regulations, Quality Standards, and Ofsted requirements

  • Proven ability to lead, develop, and motivate a team

  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies

  • Passionate about improving the lives of vulnerable children and young people

  • Excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills
