Job Title: Registered Manager – Children’s Residential Home
Location: Barnet, North London
Salary: £50,000 per annum (negotiable depending on experience)
Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Registered Manager to lead a brand-new 3-bed children’s residential home in Barnet. This is a unique opportunity to shape and develop a service from the ground up, building a nurturing and therapeutic environment for children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties.
You will be responsible for the full operational management of the home, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care that meets all regulatory and legislative standards. You’ll also be instrumental in recruiting your team, embedding a strong and positive culture, and working toward achieving an ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted rating.
Register with Ofsted as the Registered Manager for the home
Set up and manage the day-to-day operations of the home in line with the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards
Lead and inspire a team to provide person-centred, trauma-informed care
Ensure safeguarding practices are fully embedded and adhered to at all times
Build strong relationships with local authorities, families, and partner agencies
Create a supportive and empowering environment for staff and young people alike
Manage budgets, staffing, and placement planning effectively
Drive continuous improvement and prepare the service for Ofsted inspections
Previous experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager in a children’s residential setting
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations, safeguarding, and child protection
Proven ability to lead and manage a team in a residential care environment
Excellent organisational, communication, and leadership skills
Commitment to delivering high standards of care and achieving outstanding outcomes for young people
Full UK Driving Licence
