Join Our Team as a Support Worker in Peasedown St John, Bath (BA2)
Location: Bath, BA2 (Just a 2min Walk from the Meeting Place Coffee Shop in Bath)
Pay Rate: £12.83 per hour + £50 per sleep-in shift
Hours: Full-Time or Part-Time
Shifts Available:
- Early: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- Late: 3:00 PM – 10:00 PM
- Day: 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM / 8:00 AM – 6:30 PM
- Sleep-In: 10:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Driver Requirement: Auto-friendly licence essential
Who Will You Be Supporting?
You’ll be supporting six individuals (five gentlemen and one lady), aged between their 20s and 60s, each living in their own self-contained flat within a shared supported living setting.
The people you’ll support live with a range of conditions including:
- Autism
- Learning disabilities
- Cerebral palsy
- Epilepsy
- Behaviours of distress (three individuals have PBS plans in place)
Support is provided on a minimum 1:1 basis, with no core shared support, meaning your role will be highly personalised and relationship-focused.

This is a dynamic and sociable group who love to stay active and engaged. Their interests include:
- Walking, bowling, and archery
- Plane spotting and going out for dinner
- Music sessions, singing, and musicals
- Spending time with friends and staff
- Cooking (with supervision), cleaning, and getting involved in daily routines
They enjoy building relationships with new people and thrive on encouragement, structure, and meaningful engagement. Family involvement is strong, and you’ll be part of a team that values those connections.
What Will You Be Doing?
As a Support Worker, you’ll be:
- Providing Personal Care: Varying levels of support depending on individual needs
- Promoting Independence: Encouraging choice, autonomy, and skill-building
- Supporting Communication: Adapting your approach to meet individual needs
- Cooking & Meal Prep: Supporting healthy eating and following SALT plans
- Administering Medication: Including rescue medication for epilepsy
- Following PBS Plans: Supporting individuals with behaviours of distress (training provided)
- Lone Working: Confidently managing shifts independently while staying connected to the wider team
