We’re one of the UK’s largest not-for-profit providers of support for people with learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs. Our award-winning Activate model, person-centred approach, and sector-leading training make us a standout employer in social care. But what really sets us apart is our unwavering commitment to our values, ambition, courage, integrity, partnership, and respect which shape everything we do.
The Role
As a Dimensions Support Worker, you’ll already know that no two days are the same. You’ll be supporting people to live the lives they choose, whether that’s helping with personal care, preparing meals, managing medication, or enabling access to education, employment, and community life.
You’ll co-produce support plans with individuals and their families, use digital tools to track progress, and apply our Activate framework to help people set meaningful goals and build new skills. You’ll also play a key role in maintaining safe environments and building strong, trusting relationships with colleagues and external partners.
About the Person You’ll Be Supporting
This gentleman is full of character and determination. He loves being out and about, going for walks, solving puzzles and dominoes, colouring, and enjoying home cooked meals (especially sweet treats!). He swims twice a week; your support includes getting into the water as part of a 2:1 ratio and he goes carriage riding weekly. He’s close to his family, especially his dad and big brothers, and thrives with support that’s consistent.
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for support workers who are ready to take their practice to the next level. You’ll bring:
You’ll also be comfortable using IT systems to record support plans, health and safety checks, and financial information.

As one of the country’s largest not-for-profits supporting people with learning disabilities, autism, behaviours of distress, and complex needs, we are driven by our values. People with learning disabilities and their families are at the heart of everything we do and we want every person we support to have a great life, with excellent outcomes.
Dimensions has hundreds of services across England and Wales and have over 5000 colleagues supporting more than 2,500 people.
Our head office is based in Theale (Reading), however since the pandemic all business support staff now work from home, with access to work in shared workspaces.
We are always working to improve standards – our own and across the sector. Dimensions was one of the pioneers of personalised support, showing how it works in practice, and enabling thousands of people to have greater choice and control. We continue to be innovative in our approach, and our Strategy for 2025 outlines our commitment to becoming a leader in our sector.
