Job Description

The Norwood Organisation are currently recruiting for Full Time and Part Time Support Workers to join us in offering the best possible care and support to our service users. This role is for our Adult Care Homes in the following area's:

(nearest train/tube station)

-Stanmore (Jubilee line) 

-Kenton (Bakerloo/Overground)   

-Hendon Central (Northern Line) or Hendon Rail station Hendon Rail station 

- Barnet (Northern line)

- Borehamwood (Mainline station Elstree & Borehamwood)

-Finchley (Finchley Central on Northern Line)

 

Essesntial skills required for this role:

A history of working in care or support work, customer service skills, excellent communication skills both verbal and written, an understanding of the needs of others, and most importantly to have patience.

 

About the role:

You will provide support to individuals with a diverse range of needs such as challenging behaviour, complex care and non verbal. Your main duties will range from supervision/prompting with medication, domestic tasks, shopping right through to full support with all aspects of day-to-day living including supporting someone with their personal care needs (bathing/toileting/dressing) on a daily basis, cooking and preparing of meals, accessing their local community. Some services may require Lone Working so the ability to confidently work in environments independently is essential.

PAY: 9.79 - £10.30 per hour dependent on experience and qualifications

CONTRACTS AVAILABLE

  • Full time 37 hours per week
  • Part-time 14 – 28 hours per week
  • Bank hours available

Working hours are on a shift pattern rota basis including some weekend working and some sleep-ins (sleep-ins are paid as a separate payment per sleep in)
