About Our Home


At Chesham Leys in Chesham we provide expert nursing care for older people, including those living with dementia, in a comfortable and homely environment.


Conveniently located close to Chesham town centre, and on a local bus route, Chesham Leys provides care for 62 people and is a purpose–built nursing care home, with residents wellbeing being our number one priority.


We are currently looking for experienced or newly qualified Registered Nurses (RGN and RMN’s) to come and join our nursing team at Chesham Leys, we have both full time and part time positions available, working days only or nights only, with 12 hour shifts.


Salary: Up to £20.80 per hour (depending upon experience) with paid breaks, plus £4.00 per hour enhancement on bank holidays.  This includes a location allowance of £2.00 for day nurses for all hours worked. 

Your daily duties will be to:

Ensure that the NMC code of practice is upheld at all times

Act as a role model for all staff and ensure that a high quality of nursing care is provided at all times for our residents

Monitor and manage the health and well–being of our residents

Be involved with all aspects of nursing care, including personal care

Implement, review and update care plans

Medication management and administration

Maintain accurate detailed reports and records

Ensure that residents received planned or urgent healthcare whenever required

The successful candidate will have:


A passion and commitment for providing quality nursing care and the ability to lead our team of dedicated care staff.

A live NMC PIN number.  

Confidence in their clinical knowledge and the ability to lead a shift lead

Experience in catheterisation (male and female), wound care, venepuncture and PEG feeds

A reliable, trustworthy and flexible approach to work

Previous experience working in a nursing home desirable, but not essential
