About the Role

As a cook, your role is to help us provide the service required to our residents, through preparing and cooking, high quality meals in line with the dietary needs of those who use our service. This will include:

  • Preparing breakfast and/or lunch
  • Cooking cakes for afternoon tea
  • Putting away deliveries and helping with the cleaning and washing up
  • Supervising support staff and assisting with the ordering of food supplies
  • Ensuring the service is safe and hygienic

About you!

Do I need experience? Quite simply Yes! You’ll need take pride in your food preparation and presentation skills and always deliver on time with a smile on your face. Ideally you will have a Food and Hygiene certificate but this is not essential. You will be flexible, patient, and easy–going in your approach, and be willing to turn your hand to new things and never get frustrated.

About Us

Established since 1992, we’re a charity and not–for–profit organisation that provides care and support for older people and adults with learning disabilities. Today, we have 1500 staff supporting over 1,100 residents at services across Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire, and Milton Keynes.
