Job Description

Mabbs Hall Care Home is situated in the centre of Mildenhall, so it’s easy to get to and has strong links with the community. We provide nursing care for 29 residents, mostly in single rooms but we also have two double rooms so couples can stay together.

Role:

To keep our friendly home a happy and bright place to be, we are seeking a housekeeper to work 14 hours a week, covering evenings and weekends. We need warm-hearted, enthusiastic and committed individuals to help us deliver the type of caring and stimulating environment you’d want your own relatives to have.

When you join us as a domestic assistant, you’ll play a crucial role in the success of our lovely care home. You will be making sure the home is kept in a comfortable and hygienic condition, a nice place for our residents to be.

You’ll be a good team player who takes pride in their work, and be happy to go the extra mile helping to maintain the warm and friendly atmosphere for our residents.

 Experience of working in a care setting is desirable but not essential as full training in infection control, how to use the equipment, etc will be provided.

Successful applicants are required to provide an enhanced DBS disclosure. All appointments are subject to safer recruitment requirements to ensure the safeguarding of adults. All positions will involve appropriate checks and clearances.

Covid vaccinations:  If offered employment, you must produce evidence that you have either commenced or completed the vaccination programme. If not, you must agree to have both vaccinations, commencing the programme at the first available opportunity. All care home staff need to be fully vaccinated by 11th November 2021, or prove medical exemption. This is a legal requirement and applies to everyone working in a care home.
