We are looking for a Head Housekeeper to manage and support a team of Housekeepers and Laundry Assistants; making sure the interior of our Homes including furniture, fitting and fixtures are clean, tidy and maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness. You will take pride in presenting the Home like it was your own, to help residents and their family and friends to feel welcomed and comfortable. What experience do you need? You will have previous housekeeping experience in domiciliary, residential home or family setting, alongside a positive attitude and commitment to providing a well maintained environment in line with Health & Safety and COSHH regulations. You will have previous supervisory experience, where you will have organised rotas, delegated workload, recruited and trained new starters. You will be confident using your own initiative in an organised and planned way. The Home Situated in the charming town of Henley-on-Thames is Chilterns Court Care Centre, offering first class and compassionate residential, nursing, dementia and respite care to 64 residents in homely and comfortable surroundings. We also offer long term, respite residential and nursing care as well as residential dementia care and intermediate care. Working with us We want you to love working with us and we hope you’ll want to stay. So from your very first day, we’ll provide you with regular training and consistent career development. As well as receiving regular support from your manager, you’ll also benefit from our extensive professional support services, which now include a dedicated ‘Training and Talent Management’ team who focus on every individual’s development. And with us backing you all the way, you can show us just what you’re capable of. Our commitment to be sector-leading in all aspects of safety for our colleagues and residents has ensured that we always have full PPE supplies for all our services. Alongside ‘instant’ tests, known as Lateral Flow Tests, for every day you work in one of our homes, you will have comfort in knowing all your colleagues will be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (in line with government legislation; please do not continue with this application if you have not received all doses of an approved COVID-19 vaccination, or clinically exempt or under 18 years of age). We are following the government’s guidelines around our colleagues working in only one care home to limit the spread of infection from one healthcare workplace to another. As a result of this, if you already have another job in another healthcare organisation and you wish to continue working there alongside the Trust, unfortunately we would not be able to progress with your application at this time. However, if you are happy to consider committing to working for us exclusively until the restrictions are lifted we are happy to discuss guaranteeing you the hours you will lose from not being able to work your second job. Or once the restrictions are lifted, please do not hesitate to re-apply for any of our roles that maybe of interest to you then.
