Care is at the heart of everything that we do. Working as a Care Assistant within the Care team you will show warmth, compassion and support to our residents and their families; helping to promote independence and dignity and positively enhancing the lives of individuals in our care. Your daily routine will be as varied as the needs of people you are looking after. You will often be helping people to wash and dress, eat and drink, and go about their daily activities, but you will know what makes a difference to them and what helps to put a smile on their face. The Home Situated in the charming town of Henley-on-Thames is Chilterns Court Care Centre, offering first class and compassionate residential, nursing, dementia and respite care to 64 residents in homely and comfortable surroundings. We also offer long term, respite residential and nursing care as well as residential dementia care and intermediate care. Working with us We want you to love working with us and we hope you’ll want to stay. So from your very first day, we’ll provide you with regular training and consistent career development. As well as receiving regular support from your manager, you’ll also benefit from our extensive professional support services, which now include a dedicated ‘Training and Talent Management’ team who focus on every individual’s development. And with us backing you all the way, you can show us just what you’re capable of. Our commitment to be sector-leading in all aspects of safety for our colleagues and residents has ensured that we always have full PPE supplies for all our services. Alongside ‘instant’ tests, known as Lateral Flow Tests, for every day you work in one of our homes, you will have comfort in knowing all your colleagues will be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (in line with government legislation; please do not continue with this application if you have not received all doses of an approved COVID-19 vaccination, or clinically exempt or under 18 years of age). We are following the government’s guidelines around our colleagues working in only one care home to limit the spread of infection from one healthcare workplace to another. As a result of this, if you already have another job in another healthcare organisation and you wish to continue working there alongside the Trust, unfortunately we would not be able to progress with your application at this time. However, if you are happy to consider committing to working for us exclusively until the restrictions are lifted we are happy to discuss guaranteeing you the hours you will lose from not being able to work your second job. Or once the restrictions are lifted, please do not hesitate to re-apply for any of our roles that maybe of interest to you then. Please note: This is a bank (zero hours) contract which means there is no guarantee of hours and shifts are offered on a casual basis.
