Healthcare Assistant - Wytham House, Cumnor, Oxfordshire

Welcome Bonus - Join before Christmas and get a £500 Welcome Bonus (£250 paid in your first months’ pay and £250 following successful probation after 6 months)

Work 11 hours and get paid for 12. Your contracted rate of £10.00, becomes £10.80 with your paid breaks on top. *applies for 12 hours shifts only

  • Welcome Bonus up to £500*
  • Night shift - 7:30pm to 7:30am
  • Full or part time opportunities available - 24 - 48 hours a week

ABOUT THE HOME

Wytham House care home with nursing is a purpose built home set within 23 acres of beautiful gardens and parklands in Farmoor, along with our sister home Oaken Holt, they are at the heart of rural Oxfordshire. Wytham House provides the highest level of specialist residential dementia and nursing dementia care, for up to 40 elderly residents, including long-term care, trial stays, short-stay and convalescent care. We are proud to be the only care home in Farmoor to have our own accredited City and Guilds Dementia training covering the importance of providing meaningful activities, a stimulating environment, good food and nutrition as well as the clinical side of care.

We offer fantastic training and development opportunities, each of our care workers work towards their Care Certificate, giving them the confidence to deliver first-class care.

We also undertake a wide range of diverse training, from manual handling to infection control and safeguarding. We have an extensive training team, consisting of regional trainers as well as a network of in-home trainers, able to deliver programmes to colleagues.

In 2015 we launched our own dementia training programme, called ‘My World’. This is accredited by City and Guilds and was awarded the Princess Royal Training Award, every employee is given the opportunity to learn and develop

ABOUT THE ROLE

An excellent and exciting opportunity to join our Wytham House Care Home as a Care Assistant!   You will work part of a great team and be making a difference to our residents by providing excellent care standards, taking pride in treating our residents as individuals. 
As a Care Assistant at Caring Homes, you’ll help residents enjoy each day by making sure they get the quality care and support they deserve.  Responsible for supporting our elderly residents with daily living, providing support and companionship, assisting with their physical and personal needs – where every day is different and rewarding!
