Job Description

We are looking for enthusiastic people to join our new supported living service in Southminster, Essex.

Employee benefits include:

Guaranteed hours - no zero hours contracts here. And as long as you can work all our shifts (including some weekend and night shifts) then we accept part time hours from 25 hours a week upwards. Working full time for us could be done in as little as 3 shifts a week - with no split shifts either.

Competitive Pay starting at £9.40 per hour, with enhancements for working night shifts at weekends.

On-going career progression opportunities with paid training. We have an extensive training programme including nationally recognised qualifications, and you can easily progress from Support Worker to Manager within our company. We are proud to say that all our Home Managers started with us initially as Support Workers.

In addition to this you will get:

  • Benefits platform which includes employee assistance programme, retail discounts, gym membership discounts, cycle to work scheme and much more.
  • Long service awards starting after 2 years.
  • Staff meals and drinks while on shift

What we expect in return:

In this role, you will support young adults with a dual diagnosis of learning disabilities and autism to lead fulfilled and independent lives. As well as helping them with the daily tasks of looking after themselves and living in their home our Support Workers help them access as much of the community and local area as they can, attending clubs and using local leisure facilities, or even just going out in the beautiful countryside.

There are no specific skills required for this role – we will teach you all you need to be able to do the job. It’s much more important to us that you have the right personal qualities to be a support worker caring for someone. If you have a kind and caring nature, are trustworthy and reliable, and hold the same values as us then this is more important than whether you have worked in care before.

This is a job where you can make a real difference every day. It’s also a career where you will always have a job - carers are always needed and always in work. So if you are interested in being one of our Support Workers, please get in touch.
