Job Description

Bank Housekeeper - 0 hour contract to cover staff absence Millbrook Lodge, Brockworth £9.55 per hour Our commitment to be sector-leading in all aspects of safety for our colleagues and residents has ensured that we always have full PPE supplies for all our services. Our early adoption of the vaccine means as a key worker you will have access to personally being vaccinated, alongside ‘instant’ tests, known as Lateral Flow Tests, for every day you work in one of our homes.   We are following the government’s guidelines around our colleagues working in only one care home to limit the spread of infection from one healthcare workplace to another. As a result of this, if you already have another job in another healthcare organisation and you wish to continue working there alongside the Trust, unfortunately we would not be able to progress with your application at this time. However, if you are happy to consider committing to working for us exclusively until the restrictions are lifted we are happy to discuss guaranteeing you the hours you will lose from not being able to work your second job. Or once the restrictions are lifted, please do not hesitate to re-apply for any of our roles that maybe of interest to you then. As a Housekeeper you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and tidiness of the home, which may also involve helping with the laundry. You will take pride in presenting the home to its highest standard to help our residents and their family feel like it is home away from home. As an integral part of the team you will get to know the residents and know what their preferences are in their individual spaces. They may even want to help you. What experience do you need?   Due to our supportive housekeeping team, you do not need to have previous formal cleaning experience. All we ask for is someone who takes pride in their work and motivated to always deliver high standards. Alongside this you will have a can-do approach, be team orientated and excellent communication skills. Above all, you’ll be passionate about ensuring our residents received the best service possible.   What will you get in return?   The Trust is a great place to work; we’ve been providing care for almost 1,000 years and we’re currently the second largest not-for-profit provider in the UK. Not-for-profit means that we reinvest every penny we make into our residents, colleagues and the care homes we live and work in. Therefore, we offer a great range of benefits, including a competitive salary, training and development. Alongside keeping our colleagues safe with PPE, daily testing and comfort in knowing all your colleagues will be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (in line with government legislation; please do not continue with this application if you have not received all doses of an approved COVID-19 vaccination, or clinically exempt or under 18 years of age).     Here’s an overview of some of the benefits you could get for working for us; * Company pension * Company sick pay (after probation) * Weekend rates * Life Assurance * 28 days holiday entitlement (including bank holidays) pro rata * Free uniform * Free DBS * Free car parking * Employee Assistance Programme and Health and Wellbeing Platform * Comprehensive Induction, ongoing training and development
