Job Description

Head Housekeeper - 30 hours per week
Brookside, Melksham
09:00-16:30 4 days per week including alternate weekends
£10.11 per hour 

Our commitment to be sector-leading in all aspects of safety for our colleagues and residents has ensured that we always have full PPE supplies for all our services. Our early adoption of the vaccine means as a key worker you will have access to personally being vaccinated, alongside ‘instant’ tests, known as Lateral Flow Tests, for every day you work in one of our homes.
We are following the government’s guidelines around our colleagues working in only one care home to limit the spread of infection from one healthcare workplace to another. As a result of this, if you already have another job in another healthcare organisation and you wish to continue working there alongside the Trust, unfortunately we would not be able to progress with your application at this time. However, if you are happy to consider committing to working for us exclusively until the restrictions are lifted we are happy to discuss guaranteeing you the hours you will lose from not being able to work your second job. We are looking for a Head Housekeeper to manage and support a team of Housekeepers and Laundry Assistants; making sure the interior of our Homes including furniture, fitting and fixtures are clean, tidy and maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness.

You will take pride in presenting the Home like it was your own, to help residents and their family and friends to feel welcomed and comfortable.

What experience do you need?
You will have previous housekeeping experience in domiciliary, residential home or family setting, alongside a positive attitude and commitment to providing a well maintained environment in line with Health & Safety and COSHH regulations. You will have previous supervisory experience, where you will have organised rotas, delegated workload, recruited and trained new starters. You will be confident using your own initiative in an organised and planned way.
