In this role, you will support young adults with a dual diagnosis of learning disabilities and autism to lead fulfilled and independent lives. As well as helping them with the daily tasks of looking after themselves and living in their home our Support Workers help them access as much of the community and local area as they can, attending clubs and using local leisure facilities, or even just going out in the beautiful countryside.
There are no specific skills required for this role – we will teach you all you need to be able to do the job. Its much more important to us that you have the right personal qualities to be a support worker caring for someone. If you have a kind and caring nature, are trustworthy and reliable, and hold the same values as us then this is more important than whether you have worked in care before.
We are currently looking for Support Workers for our homes across Essex, in Cressing, Hatfield Peverel, Silver End, Southminster and Thaxted. Please see our website for further details.
Employee benefits include:
Guaranteed hours - no zero hours contracts here. And as long as you can work all our shifts (including some weekend and night shifts) then we accept part time hours from 25 hours a week upwards. Working full time for us could be done in as little as 3 shifts a week - with no split shifts either.
Competitive Salary, with enhancements for working night shifts at weekends.
On-going career progression opportunities with paid training. We have an extensive training programme including nationally recognised qualifications, and you can easily progress from Support Worker to Manager within our company. We are proud to say that all our Home Managers started with us as Support Workers
In addition to this you will get:
