Location: Sale, Cheshire, (M33 5AN)

Salary: £41,148 per annum plus excellent benefits

Hours: Full Time Hours, Monday to Friday

Contract: Permanent

We have an exciting opportunity available at Kara House, to lead the team of Care Professionals and daily management of the home. Kara House is a 39 bedded care home that specialises in Residential Dementia Care for older persons.

We are seeking a Registered Home Manager who can encourage a values–based culture and ensure high quality care and support. You will also need to provide values–led leadership to the team. Our main priority for any new colleague is to find people who share similar values and attitudes to our own.

The role:

This is an exciting opportunity to manage Kara House. We are looking for a Registered Home Manager proven management experience of managing nursing teams as well as care staff . As the Registered Home Manager you will  support the home on a transition from a residential setting to a Clinical Nursing setting. This will be a fabulous opportunity for the Home Manager to have a great deal of autonomy and ensure the effective day – to –day running of the registered residential home whilst responsible for providing a person–centred service.

The ideal candidate will lead on the successful development of this service ensuring the service aims to meet and exceed the requirements of legislation and CQC inspection requirements.

As the registered home manager, you will have overall accountability for ensuring the service runs in an efficient and safe manner whilst employees provide the highest standard of care to service users. You will provide leadership and management for the team and continuously identify the training and development needs of the team and be able to manage change and competent in developing and supporting carers and seniors with their personal career development. This role comes with leadership responsibilities for a team of approximately 30 staff.

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Strong Clinical background – Previous Management within a Nursing Home Setting is essential!
  • Excellent knowledge of QCQ framework and standards
  • Excellent communication and written skills, with the ability to speak with Local Authorities and Commissioners
  • Proven Change Management/ Turn Around experience
  • Embed the Values of Making Space
  • Proven experience of recruitment & selection
