Live-in care assistant
£2,250 - £2,600 per month*
Full time, permanent
Do you want to maximise your earning potential whilst having the time to build a great relationship with your client? Perhaps you’re looking for work to suit your lifestyle with longer breaks in placement to support your wellbeing. If this sounds like you, then we would love to hear from you! We’re looking for live-in care assistants to support our clients working on average 6 - 8 hours per day on a live-in basis (rather than the standard 10 hours). This is an excellent opportunity for someone who may be looking to take a step back from more complex care, but still wants to enjoy all the benefits that live-in care can bring.
Live-in care assistants working in a 6 or 8 hour live-in placement typically stay with our clients for a minimum of 6 weeks at a time, but many choose to stay longer. We’ll ensure you’re well supported by our team of experts and have a generous daily break of at least 3 hours - that’s 21 hours of paid breaks per week!
We care about the things you care about:
Maximise earning potential by remaining with your client for longer - you will have less personal outgoings such as food costs and utility bills
Generous rest time in placement - working 6-8 hours for a client with lower needs means longer breaks for you
£45 travel expense permitted for each one way journey to/from your placement
Funded Blue Light Card - giving you access to lots of discounts to both online and highstreet retailers
Free training in London, with opportunities to further develop your
knowledge through our ongoing training courses
Assistance programme - free confidential advice line supporting you in times of need
Free enhanced DBS
24/7 on call support
Generous ‘Refer A Friend’ Scheme
We offer longer placements which enable you to spend more time building a meaningful relationship with the person you care for and that give you flexibility to fit your work pattern around your lifestyle choices
You will be engaged to work with us for the duration of your placement. We handle all your tax and national insurance deductions during that period, so that’s one less thing for you to think about, you will also be paid a holiday entitlement
You might have professional experience as a support worker, or as a care assistant in a residential or domiciliary care setting. Or you might already be an experienced live-in carer looking for a new way to maximise your earning potential. Whatever your level of professional experience, we would love to hear from you. Please note you must already have the right to work in the UK as we cannot assist with any sponsorship or visa requests.

At Cherished Home Care, we pride ourselves on delivering care in a way that is meaningful. We want to give our clients choice, how they spend their day and have flexibility over who visits them. We believe that remaining in the comfort of your home surrounded by the many memories and comforts you know and love is something to be cherished.
Established in 2023, our aim is to be the home care provider of choice in local areas across the United Kingdom.
We are starting our journey by offering person-centred live-in and hourly care across London, with a vision to extend our services throughout the United Kingdom.
Cherished Home Care is well-equipped in achieving this, by having the same leadership team as our sister companies, The Good Care Group and Oxford Aunts. Together, these two brands have over 70 years of experience in the industry and have earned acclaim and recognition for their exceptional care through glowing CQC inspections and numerous industry awards. Their knowledge and expertise is shared with us to be delivered directly to our clients.
We believe that having the opportunity to keep your independence and remain in the comfort of your own home is the preferred option for many. For our clients to remain happy at home, our approach is to ensure continuity of care, by offering longer rota patterns so that our clients can have the same carers visiting their home over an extensive period of time, which they may not receive from another care provider. This will allow you to build strong, lasting relationships and to improve their quality of life – it’s all about choice.
