About the Role:

 

  • Our D2A service provides short-term, high-quality care and support to individuals who are well enough not to need an acute hospital bed.

  • You will be required to assess our customers’ needs to identify areas where support is needed to promote independent living and provide person-centred care. 

  • Motivating customers and building confidence so our customers can achieve the goals they have set and return to independent living. 

  • You will be assisting with personal care such as personal hygiene, toileting, and dressing. 

  • Shifts will be a mixture of early and late shifts between 7 am and 10 pm and alternate weekends. 

 

About you:

 

  • Previous experience in caring for vulnerable adults with a wide range of complex needs is essential. 

  • Sensitive, caring, and passionate about delivering a first-class service to people within the local community. 

  • Proactive and self-motivated with great initiative and excellent communication skills. 

  • QCF Level 2 in Health and Social Care would be beneficial but is not essential. 

  • A full driving license and access to your own vehicle are required as you will need to be comfortable with lone working and travelling between customers. 

 

Job Benefits:

 

  • £500 welcome bonus on successful completion of your probationary period. 

  • Double time on bank holidays and an extra £1 per hour on weekends. 

  • Mileage allowance of 45p per mile 

  • Equivalent to 30 days of paid annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays), increasing to the equivalent of 33 after 5 years’ service (pro-rata)
