We're currently looking a Clinical Deputy Manager to join the team at Burley Hall Care Home in West Yorkshire Leeds. You might be a Registered Nurse looking to take the next step in your career or a Clinical Lead looking for a more varied role - either way, this could be a great opportunity to progress your career.
As a Registered Nurse, we know that you already have the clinical skills, so we'll focus on supporting you to develop your leadership and people management skills. You'll receive a comprehensive 6-week induction, including practical and classroom-based learning, you'll have a dedicated Buddy to support and advise you during your first month and you'll get access to dedicated leadership courses and apprenticeships.
Working hours and salary

£16.91 - £20.19 per hour dependent on experience and qualifications

Looking for a Registered Nurse at least 18 months post reg practice and ideally previous experience of working in a care home.

36-42 hours per week on days and £2,000 welcome bonus
Flexible to cover occasional weekends, night visits and on call

Experience within sector required and must be a Registered Nurse

Should you be successfully hired in to this role, we are pleased to be able to offer you a one-off Starter Bonus of £2000 as a thank you for deciding to join Bupa Care Services. The Starter Bonus will be paid to you in the next available pay run once you have completed four weeks' service and will be subject to deductions for tax and NI. Ts &Cs Apply.
What your typical day involves
  • You'll oversee and assist all aspects of nursing care/activities within the home
  • With the help of your nursing team, you'll create and update individual care plans for our residents, maintaining clear, accurate and up-to-date medication records
  • It's imperative that the correct staffing levels are maintained through efficient management of rotas, you'll ensure adequate staffing is always maintained within the home
  • Drawing on your experience as a nurse, you'll provide day to day support and guidance to our team of nurses - promoting our residents' independence, choice and dignity
  • You'll build lasting relationships with the residents and the people they care about, as well as caring about the home itself - fostering a sense of community
  • Creating and developing strong relationships with local partners - you'll liaise with these partners, playing an important role in raising the care home's profile in the local area and beyond
Who we're looking for
  • A Registered Nurse with a valid NMC pin and a genuine commitment to adhering to the nursing NMC Codes of Conduct and expanding your professional development
  • You'll possess up-to-date nursing knowledge of tissue viability, infection control and care planning
  • An effective communicator who's able to build strong and honest relationships with residents and their families
  • You're a natural leader, someone who's ready to share their nursing experience - leading and mentoring a team, able to delegate effectively and promote excellent customer service and relationships
  • Someone with excellent time management who can effectively prioritise their workload
  • A respectful and compassionate nurse who's a team player with the belief in giving your personal best
