Care Worker – Lapwing Apartments
Description:
Cross Keys Care requires a dedicated and conscientious care assistant to join our friendly team at Lapwing Apartments in Orton Brimbles on a 20-hour contract.
Lapwing Apartments is a stylish, high-quality extra care development with 54 apartments specially designed for the over 65s.
As a Care Worker, you will work with vulnerable individuals to help them live their lives to the full. It is the ultimate ‘people job’. You are another person’s lifeline and you are often the only professional they establish any sort of relationship with.
Your daily routine will be as varied as the needs of people you are looking after. You will often be helping people to wash and dress, eat and drink, and go about their daily activities. You might be cooking for them or taking them shopping, or simply hoisting them into a more comfortable position in bed.

Our dynamic approach has made us one of the region’s leading providers of affordable homes for rent and sale. Responding to change with agility and innovation, we’ll continue to grow our business in today’s fast-paced operating environment.
With a development programme set to deliver more than 2,500 homes over the next five years, we’re committed to building quality, affordable homes that people want to live in throughout the east of England. That’s an approach that secured us the title of Development Programme of the Year at the 2018 UK Housing Awards.
Of course, as a proud provider of affordable homes we’re also committed to providing excellent housing and landlord services to all of our customers in our existing homes. We offer a wide range of community support services, ranging from volunteering opportunities to regular work clubs, and actively encourage our residents to have a say in the future of their communities.
We established Cross Keys Care in 2013 to deliver outstanding care in the community designed to help people live independently at home for longer. Our LifeLine service is there to offer peace of mind to anyone who needs it and for those who need a little more support we have two extra care facilities in Peterborough as well as 27 retirement living schemes and six short-stay accommodation schemes for people facing homelessness.
