Support Work - Ruishton

We are looking for enthusiastic and caring Support Workers to join our dedicated team in Ruishton, Somerset. We support a group of wonderful ladies and gentlemen who enjoy engaging in different hobbies such as sensory activities, getting outside in the fresh air for walks, baking and maybe some pampering or our ladies!

If you have a passion for improving the quality of life for others and love planning engaging, person-centred experiences, this could be the perfect role for you!

Key Responsibilities:

Daily Living Assistance: Support individuals with day-to-day tasks, ensuring they feel empowered and confident in their abilities. This will include, medication support, personal care, finance support and support at meal times.

Person-Centred Support: Help create meaningful, tailored days out like our recent ones to the Zoo and the Army Museum, and sensory-rich indoor activities like storytelling and games. From leisurely walks to bringing outdoor games inside, you’ll help keep everyone engaged and having fun.

Initiative & Creativity: Use your initiative to discover and plan new opportunities and experiences that promote growth, enjoyment, and well-being.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Compassionate and patient individuals with a positive attitude.
  • Someone who enjoys planning and participating in different activities such as shopping, pampering, and sensory experiences.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
  • Creativity and initiative in finding new and exciting ways to engage the people we support.
  • Flexibility and willingness to work around the needs and preferences of the individuals we support
