Our multi-award-winning organisation is looking to recruit a Kitchen Porter to join our Hospitality team. This role may include some weekend working.
The role of Kitchen Porter will involve the delivery of Hospitality Services within our Campus, Care Homes, and Community Centres to excellent standards.
This post is working 35 hours per week 5 days out of 7 including some weekends.
This post is a physically demanding role which may include pushing and lifting food trolleys throughout the campus.
You will have a key role ensuring we deliver an excellent service to our customers, creating an inviting and pleasant environment. Your core duties will involve:
Ensure general kitchen activities are delivered to the required standard so that the highest standards maintained across Jewish Care.
Ensure on all occasions safe and hygienic working practices are delivered in order to satisfy Health and Safety at Work and other statutory legislation.
Consistently deliver excellent customer service and build positive working relationships with colleagues and services, always responding to feedback to improve the service.
Covering and supporting the wider hospitality teams when requested, including frequent assistance with Housekeeping and Events teams.
You will ideally have previous experience working within a busy kitchen environment, working both independently and within a team. You will need:
Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (or willingness to undertake this qualification)
Great communication skills, confident speaking to a range of people
Good literacy and numeracy skills
Willing to undertake appropriate training (e.g., Supervision, NVQ Training)
