Healthcare Assistant, Frethey House, Tanton

  • Full-Time or Part-Time Shifts Available
  • Days 8am-8pm
  • Nights 8pm-8am
  • Shorter Shifts Available - 7am-1pm / 8am-2pm, 1pm-7pm / 2pm-8pm
  • £8.91 per hour  (Work 11 hours and get paid for 12. Your contracted rate of £8.91, becomes £9.62 with your paid breaks on top. *applies for 12 hours shifts only*)
  • We regularly Covid test all our residents and staff

ABOUT THE HOME

Frethey House Care Home with nursing offers residential and nursing care – including trial stays, short stay, convalescent care, long-term care and palliative care. The home is a beautiful Victorian building that has been skillfully converted into a friendly and safe care environment for older people, set within two acres of gardens and beautiful rolling countryside.

The home has retained a number of period features and is set within attractive and peaceful gardens in an accessible location with stunning views over the surrounding countryside.

ABOUT THE ROLE

An excellent and exciting opportunity to join our Frethey House Care Home as a Care Assistant!   You will work part of a great team and be making a difference to our residents by providing excellent care standards, taking pride in treating our residents as individuals. 
As a Care Assistant at Caring Homes, you will help residents enjoy each day by making sure they get the quality care and support they deserve.  Responsible for supporting our elderly residents with daily living, providing support and companionship, assisting with their physical and personal needs – where every day is different and rewarding!

We offer fantastic training and development opportunites, each of our care workers work towards their Care Certificate, giving them the confidence to deliver first-class care. 
We also undertake a wide range of diverse training, from manual handling to infection control and safeguarding. 

We have an extensive training team, consisting of regional trainers as well as a network of in-home trainers, able to deliver programmes to colleagues.

In 2015 we launched our own dementia training programme, called ‘My World’. This is accredited by City and Guilds and was awarded the Princess Royal Training Award, every employee is given the opportunity to learn and develop
