Support Worker – Ash Vale
Full & Part-Time roles available
£12.33 per hour
Five people who Dimensions support at their home in Ash Vale would like some new Support Workers to join the team who enable them to live an independent life.
The three men and two ladies who are aged in their 40’s-70’s, and have learning disabilities, enjoy a full and varied life. They would be happy to meet either full or part-time Support Workers who would like to support them to do the things they enjoy, including:
These people would like you to know that although they don’t all use words to communicate, they can understand you and have a variety of ways of telling you what they want. If you have not had to communicate with people in this way before do not worry as Dimensions provide all Support Workers with full training.
The people we support would be happy to meet either full or part-time Support Workers. We need Support Workers to be able to work a mixture of 07.00-14.30 and 14.00-21.30 shifts and to undertake 1 sleep-in per week.
Dimensions are happy to offer a payrate of £12.33 per hour (sleep-ins are paid at an allowance of £50 per sleep).
Support Workers will also have to assist with finances, meal preparation and assist the ladies with their personal care.
Benefits for Support Workers choosing to work with Dimensions include:
Dimensions is a national social care company and we are proud to have been recognised as one of the UK’s best workplaces in the ‘super large’ category by the Great Place to Work Institute three years in a row.
As one of the country’s largest not-for-profits supporting people with learning disabilities, autism, behaviours of distress, and complex needs, we are driven by our values. People with learning disabilities and their families are at the heart of everything we do and we want every person we support to have a great life, with excellent outcomes.
Dimensions has hundreds of services across England and Wales and have over 5000 colleagues supporting more than 2,500 people.
Our head office is based in Theale (Reading), however since the pandemic all business support staff now work from home, with access to work in shared workspaces.
We are always working to improve standards – our own and across the sector. Dimensions was one of the pioneers of personalised support, showing how it works in practice, and enabling thousands of people to have greater choice and control. We continue to be innovative in our approach, and our Strategy for 2025 outlines our commitment to becoming a leader in our sector.
