Female Support Workers - Farnborough
Full and Part-Time positions available
Pay: £12.44 Per Hour
Would you like a role where you can improve the lives and empower the independence of people in Farnborough? Dimensions, an award winning, not-for-profit support organisation, are seeking Female Support Workers to do just that!
The 3 gentlemen and 1 lady we support, share a supported living home. They would like you to know they are currently looking for a new housemate so eventually you will be part of a team that enables 5 people to live an independent life. The people we support are in their 50's and have learning disabilities and autism. They would like to meet FemaleSupport Workers who share interests with them and will be happy to support them to do the things they enjoy. These include:
The people we support want you to know that not all of them use words to communicate but they have different ways of telling you what they want. If you have not had to communicate with people who do not use words before, don’t worry, as Dimensions provide all Female Support Workers with full training. They would also like you to know that they all feel more comfortable using their wheelchairs when they are out and about but 3 of them can walk when they are at home.
The role will be a mixture of early (7.30-15.00) and late (14.30-22.00) shifts and Female Support Workers will need to do 1 sleep-in shift a week. Dimensions are pleased to offer a pay rate of £12.44 per hour for this role (sleep in shifts are paid at an allowance of £50 per shift).
Female Support Workers will also have to assist with finances, meal preparation and assist the people we support with their personal care.
