  • Night Shift - 7pm - 7am

  • Alternate weekends required

ABOUT THE HOME

Mount Pleasant care home in Burton-upon-Trent is a modern, purpose-built home that provides outstanding residential and residential dementia care for up to 50 elderly residents including trial stays, respite breaks, convalescent and long-term care.

Enjoying beautiful views over the local countryside, the home offers a calm, peaceful and tranquil environment close to the town centre.

The home provides excellent care services in a bright and airy environment. The dedicated team work very closely with each of the residents, their families and loved ones, to ensure personally tailored care plans are put in place.

The dementia care provision has been designed to meet the University of Stirling’s standards, which are widely acknowledged as providing the best living environment for people living with dementia..

ABOUT THE ROLE

An excellent and exciting opportunity to join our Mount Pleasant Care Home as a Care Assistant!   You will work part of a great team and be making a difference to our residents by providing excellent care standards, taking pride in treating our residents as individuals. 
As a Care Assistant at Caring Homes, you’ll help residents enjoy each day by making sure they get the quality care and support they deserve. Responsible for supporting our elderly residents with daily living, providing support and companionship, assisting with their physical and personal needs – where every day is different and rewarding!

We offer fantastic training and development opportunities, each of our care workers work towards their Care Certificate, giving them the confidence to deliver first-class care.

We also undertake a wide range of diverse training, from manual handling to infection control and safeguarding. We have an extensive training team, consisting of regional trainers as well as a network of in-home trainers, able to deliver programmes to colleagues.

In 2015 we launched our own dementia training programme, called ‘My World’. This is accredited by City and Guilds and was awarded the Princess Royal Training Award, every employee is given the opportunity to learn and develop
