About the Employer
To support a lady in her 60's, with both physical and mental health conditions, in all aspects in day to day life including personal care, domestic support, meal preparation, shopping and attending appointments/social activities. Mon to Fri AM - Identified that a Thursday would be the best day to complete the shopping and agreed that the PA could also support with writing a shopping list. Monday 2.5 hours, Tuesday 2.5 hours, Wednesday 2.5 hours, Thursday 5 hours, Friday 2.5. It was felt that the hours would enable all the support identified to be carried out along with the extra hours on a Thursday to complete the daily support and shopping.

About the Role
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Support and/or prompt with personal care. This may include toileting, showering/bathing, getting in and out of bed, getting dressed.
• Support and/or prompt with cooking/meal preparation and eating meals/drinks.
• Support and/or prompt the individual to take medication.
• Assist with household chores and general homemaking.
• Support and/or prompt to attend appointments as necessary, e.g. hospital/doctors.
• Support with food shopping.
• Assist and encourage socialisation, participating in activities.
• Promote and encourage friendships and independence.
• Develop a good and trusting one to one working relationship.
• Support with managing paperwork & correspondence.
Only candidates aged 18 or over should apply for this position as you will be required to administer medication.
The individuals needs may vary from day to day and your tasks may reflect this. You could be required to perform other duties as reasonably required.
You have a responsibility as an employee to report all accidents to the employer immediately. You have a duty to report defects and / or hazards which may give rise to an accident. You are to ensure the safety of the individual at all times.
Due to the nature of the work for which you are applying, this post is subject to a satisfactory DBS disclosure (costs will be covered).
Lateral Flow Test Requirement:
Due to the nature of the work you’re applying for, you may be required to take a Lateral Flow Test (LFT) and upload the results online every day before you start work.
Transport Requirement:
Full driving licence is essential as the role requires you to drive the employer’s vehicle (employer to check age requirement with car insurance provider).

Required Training:
Successful candidates are required to undertake any training that is considered necessary and appropriate to the role.
• First Aid. PA must already hold relevant qualification.

• Monday, 9am to 11.30am
• Tuesday, 9am to 11.30am
• Wednesday, 9am to 11.30am
• Thursday, 9am to 2pm
• Friday, 9 to 11.30am

Penderels Trust was formed as a charitable trust in 1988 as a partnership between Coventry and District Spastics Society (now Scope) and Coventry City Council. The trust managed a 9-bed rehabilitation unit supporting primarily younger people with disabilities and adults with an acquired brain injury, helping them to develop their independent living skills. Coventry City Council supplied the staff and resources to fund the trust's activities.
In 1997, the trust split from the local authority to become fully independent. Five staff (some of whom remain with the trust today) left the local authority to continue their work with Penderels Trust. Penderels Trust became a registered company in 1988 (retaining the charitable status).
With the advent of direct payments, we began work with a number of local authorities across England and Wales under contract to provide advice, support and information services. This work continues to date and we work with over 40 local authorities as direct payment support service providers.
