Make a difference in someone’s life and start your Support Worker career!
About Dimensions UK:
Start your social care career with Dimensions by joining our ambitious team and create more opportunities for the people we support. People with learning disabilities or autism and their families are at the heart of everything we do whilst working in social care. We want every person we support to have a great life, with excellent outcomes.
We believe that each person we support should have opportunities to develop relationships, learn new things and enjoy the activities they wish to do.
We have over 140 different contracts with local authorities, covering over 800 supported living properties. We are registered with CQC and are an accredited supplier to 80 local authorities.
About the role:
We are seeking multiple part time Support Workers to join our team in Canvey Island. We can offer part time contracts, ranging from one day a week (7.5 hours) to four days per week (30 hours), including the need for flexibility with both daytime shifts and wake nights.
You will be supporting three men and three women, aged between 40-80, who live independently in their own flats. Life here is full of activity, whether it’s shopping trips, visits to the local town, social clubs, gym sessions, theatre outings, holidays, or simply spending time outdoors in the communal garden, tending to plants and relaxing in the summer house.
At home, the people we support may need assistance with meal preparation, grocery shopping, medication administration, and mobility support using a walking frame. We also provide gentle reminders and encouragement for maintaining good personal hygiene and overall health, ensuring they feel confident and comfortable in their daily routines.
We're seeking local residents who are familiar with the island, its community, and local events. You don’t need to drive for this role, but if you do, that's a great bonus! Plus, free parking is available for those who do.
