We aim to ensure that Jewish older people lead a meaningful life, have a sense of belonging and participate in their community through attending our Community Centres. The Community Centre Activities Assistant is responsible for front line delivery of day services to Jewish Care members, including running and supporting with activities such as chair based-exercise classes, discussion groups, card games and board games.   This role may involve tasks within the persons care plan that includes personal care. Jewish Care supports flexible working opportunities, and this role may be able to support working parents. About the Role We are seeking a Kashrut and Cultural Food Lead to play a vital role in ensuring that our food and hospitality services reflect and celebrate Jewish culture and values. You’ll support the Head of Hospitality, Business Managers, and Senior Chefs across Jewish Care to uphold Kashrut standards across supervised sites, provide expert guidance and training to kitchen staff, and act as the central link between Jewish Care and the Kashrut supervisory bodies that license our kitchens. This is a key role for someone who can combine strong operational understanding with sensitivity to faith and culture — ensuring our residents and clients enjoy food that is both kosher and culturally meaningful.
